Sorry I've been away...

Sorry I've been slacking off on the posting. I officially have just over 6 weeks left in Thailand and so I'll try to keep you more up to date on my last weeks. I just got back from China as well as finished teaching my English class...so I have a lot to post! Here goes... x

Vietnam

Some friends of mine just returned from a one week whirlwind tour of Vietnam. The pictures above are just a few of the 550 photos that I took while we were there! We flew from Bangkok to Hanoi, the capital city. We spent four days in Hanoi, tasting the local food and taking a day trip to Halong Bay. From Hanoi we flew South to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. We opted against the 36 hour train ride, and decided to fly for only $4 more!! After doing the math flying seemed like the better option.

In Ho Chi Minh City we visited The War Remnants Museum, the Cu Chi Tunnels and we took a day trip to the Mekong Delta, where the Mekong River (12th longest river in the world) meets the sea.

Although Vietnam is an hour and half plane flight from Thailand it is soooo different!!!

I thought I would share some of the best that Mae Sot has to offer in the rainy season! I took this photo just outside Mae Sot on my way home from Thai Boxing practice. If you are caught in a storm you are guaranteed to be soaked!

Another new look

So I got bored of the last layout and decided to change the look of the blog one last time. I have about 3 more months in Thailand before I am headed States side... I am cramming in as much travel as I can in the next few months hopefully including: Vietnam, China, Loas, Cambodia and Singapore. We'll see... Stay tuned. x

Thai Soccer

So, latest sporting news from Thailand: I was asked to join my NGO's soccer team. I am the only foreigner on the team, and we play only Thai teams. I'm definitely having to get used to playing Thai style soccer - too hard to explain on this post! As you can see I have height going for me!

A long time coming!

About 2 months ago some friends and I went to South Thailand to visit some of the islands. This post is so late because my camera was stolen and these are my friend's photos :) The pictures above are from the following places: Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phi Phi Leh, and Ton Sai.
